(ugly duckling) Hoya citrina IML 0734 (4″ pot)

This tropical succulent “wax flower” develops really pretty slightly flecked leaves that get quite large. It produces super fragrant flowers once mature. This is an easy to grow species that I can recommend for beginners, but not for someone with very limited space.

Ships in 4″ pot. Photo #2 and #3 ONLY, are an example on size plant for sale.
Our plants are grown outside in FL, imperfections/blemishes are typical for this one.

We purchased this Hoya from Liddle’s Nursery in Australia. It is a very fast growing vine for me that became a full and an attractive hanging plant quickly. The large, slightly flecked leaves are really pretty. I have leaves on my mother plant about 8″ long by 4″ wide.
This Hoya took about 2 years to bloom for me from a cutting and it has become an excellent bloomer since, often times having several clusters at the same time. The flowers are heavily and pleasantly perfumed. The corolla is off white to pale yellow and the corona is white, pink, and yellow. This Hoya is native to Malaysia.

We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, they only get watered when it rains or when the soil is dry, and we protect them well from cold temperatures and they are very tropical.

All photos were taken of our mature mother plants, not the starter plants for sale.
