Description

This Philippine native has oval shaped, hard, shiny, succulent, bright green leaves that can get quite big. It has veins that become prominent with age. This is a good grower that becomes a nice full hanging basket plant.

The flowers are darling displaying a fuzzy yellow corolla and the corona is a pretty pink and yellow star. The flowers last a long time; up to two weeks and they have a delicious spicy fragrance! My mother plant blooms non-stop during the warm months of the year and often times with several clusters at a time. You do have to wait for it to be mature enough, but once it is, you will be really happy with this frequent bloomer. This Hoya is rarely offered for sale.

We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, we keep soils on the dry side, and we protect very well from cold temperatures.

All photos were taken of our mature mother plants in bloom, not of the young plants for sale.
