Description
This is a H. anulata clone that produces much larger leaves than the others. The leaves change from green to red when exposed to more light. We also noticed that the leaves sometimes have some variegation, but end up losing this as the plant matures.
The flowers are pretty and very delicate looking. The corolla is white to pale pink and the corona is dark pink with pale yellow tips. In my opinion, the flowers smell like licorice candy! Our mother plant blooms non-stop with several umbels at a time! Regina, our Hoya grower and expert, claims that this is one of her favorite anulata’s. This species is rarely offered for sale.
We grow our Hoyas outside in S. FL in filtered light, water only when dry, and protect from cold temperatures.
