We purchased this species from Liddle’s Nursery in Australia. The word/name “amoena” means beautiful or delightful. In my opinion, this looks and acts like a H. pallida on steroids. It has attractive long and narrow, raised veined leaves. It has been easy and fast growing for me.

Once a mature vine, it produces verticillata or acuta-like flowers with a pleasant perfume fragrance. I have heard that it is now categorized as a H. verticillata.
It has pale yellow to cream corolla and white with pink corona. Not unusual colors, but classically pretty clusters to go along with the handsome leaves.
We grow our hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, they only get watered when they are dry, and we protect them well during the cold months.
