Description

Like many orchids, this plant thrives in warm temperatures from 65-80°F and enjoys high humidity levels that can be achieved by placing a tray filled with water and pebbles beneath the orchid pot. Misting the orchid can also help increase humidity, but avoid misting the flowers directly as this can cause spotting. The Dendrobium cretaceum should only be watered when the potting medium is almost dry. This species of Dendrobium go through a rest period during the winter months where they may stop growing and flowering. During this time, reduce watering and fertilizing until new growth resumes in spring.
